I thought it was an incredibly brave decision to have the Night King killed off in the middle of the season. It fits in with Game of Thrones as a whole: no character is safe, regardless of their allegiance. Arya Not Today Death Valyrian Dagger No One. Game of Thrones has always thrived on the unexpected and this episode was no exception.

The Night King was more of a force of nature than a actual villain; a weapon the Children of the Forest created that got out of control. Every season, everyone find something to complain about.

Episodes are too slow, character development is too heavy, not enough action, not enough dialogue, deviates to far from the books, character motivations don’t make sense, the plot sometimes goes nowhere and so on. It’s a demonstration of how passionate people are about Game of Thrones. Arya Not Today Death Valyrian Dagger No One. The Long Night appears to be a divisive one to many (I personally enjoyed it), but you can’t deny the amount of effort that the creators put into the battle. It brought out all sorts of emotions: fear, tension, desperation, sadness, depression and even triumph. I’m actually quite excited to see what’s going to happen next now that the all too human conflicts are going to bubble back up to service.
